Sometimes I'm sincere. Othertimes, I'm just an ass.

AUTUMN IS SUCH A VIBE: ANKARA EDITION

December 5, 2018 Culture, Fashion, Lifestyle

Why hello there! Happy to have you here at Sincerely, Ify on this lovely, cold ass Wednesday afternoon. How’s everyone doing? Sidenote: one of the hardest aspects to blogging is that I don’t get to interact with you guys in real-time. Like I genuinely want to know how you beautiful souls are doing, you know? Instead the only reply I got was from my coworker asking if the budget and contract have been finalized with this pharmaceutical company. What a bore -__-

Earlier this month, I co-hosted a fashion show inspired by various African prints and fabrics. For those of you who don’t know, I’m actually a pretty popping host no matter how much my best friend HATES to admit it (*cough cough* Raspbertonia)!

Quick plug: if you’re looking for someone to host your next gender revel, fashion show, wedding, Ted Talk, divorce party, etc., hit your girl up! All my info can be found on the contact page (here). Carry on.

Firstly, let me give a quick shoutout to all the comedians, hosts, and any person who has ever been tasked with entertaining a crowd no matter how big or small. Y’all are the real MVPs cause that mess is no joke. Understand me when I say I was up on that stage praying to the highest of Gods that I didn’t flop. Ain’t nothing scarier than being on stage, staring out to a sea of people and they all looking back at you with the blankest of stares. I imagine it to be soul crushing lol. As with any job, there are perks to this shit too. I got to wear some of the most gorgeous pieces from the designers asked to showcase their clothing in the show.

Of course I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to do a mini photoshoot in this beautiful red and yellow Ankara maxi dress by ASA Afrique. Such a simple and easy “no-effort” dress. Not much planning went into this look at all. Beautiful dress + autumn colors = impromptu photoshoot. Ohh! Also, thanks to my favorite Yoruba demon for getting in some of these photo shots with me. The matching colors was totally unplanned y’all, but that just goes to show naija no go ever carry last ;). Check out some of the pictures below and drop a comment with what you think. Be sure to shop ASA Afrique. They are currently running a one day flash sale. Everything on the site is $30!! Get yours honey! All the details will be left at the bottom of this post. Until next time, bisous bisous xx
