Happy New Year’s and Welcome Back to Sincerely, Ify! BISHHH, it’s 2019! Like whet?! I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that I made through another year in y’alls presidents country. We tenk God! But, I’m beyond excited to share with you guys all that I have prayed, planned, and manifested for Sincerely, Ify this year and I truly hope you continue to find my blog inspiring or at the very least full of entertaining foolery.
Now that the hype of the New Year has died down just a likkle bit, I’m ready to face 2019 head on, but not without first reflecting on the year that I’ve had and determining the things that worked for me, what didn’t, and what can be improved on. If you remember back in July, I wrote a blog post entitled Mid-Year Lessons (if you haven’t had a chance to read it, check it out here) where I reflected on the first 6 months of 2018 and the lessons each month has taught me about myself and my capacity dive deeper into the realm of self-betterment. I firmly believe that in order to see immense personal growth, there also needs to be a period of reflection. Meaning, I have to be honest about every positive and negative I experienced and be willing to learn from it. Otherwise, what’s the point of any of this shit? So let’s finish out the year, shall we?

After coming out of a terrible 2016/17, I had no idea what 2018 would bring or what it would mean for me. All I knew was that I was tired of being, well, tired. I went into the 2018 with intentions of finding joy, developing a deep understanding of self-love, and sharing that love with those around me. And I’m happy to say I accomplished my goals and then some. It has been a truly wonderful year and I full intended on making 2019 even better than what I envision it to be.
I want the same thing for you as well. I challenge you all to be intentional about your wants for the year. Write it down as clear and plain as you can make it. Really focus on the things that will bring you joy beyond imagination and don’t stop striving for it! There will be obstacles, tears, frustration, and blockades but don’t let that deter you love. For every struggle there is an even bigger reward. So cheers!! 2019 will be a year full of love, laughter, sacrifices, accomplishments, peace, understanding, and abundant blessings. Let’s get it! Until the next time, xx ღ
